Nollywood popular Actress, TV host and voice over artist, Moji Oyetayo, popularly known as “Mama Ajasco” has emerged the new chairman of Actors Guild of Nigeria – Lagos Chapter.
She was elected by the Lagos state chapter members on Wednesday February 13 in Lagos after her fellow contestant and fierce rival in the election, Emeka Rising Ibeh withdrew from the race.
Moji Oyetayo is to lead the Lagos state chapter of the Actors Guild of Nigeria for the next two years.
The emergence of Moji Oyetayo followed the end of the tenure of Dr. Don Pedro Aganbi, PhD an actor, producer, Public Relations Specialist and media entrepreneur whose wealth of experience brought a lot of programmes that helped revive and re-positioned a once moribund AGN and brought it to limelight in Lagos and across the country.
he Other elected officers of the Lagos state chapter of the Actors Guild of Nigeria are Christopher Iheuwa (Vice Chairman) Bukola Thomas (General Secretary) Kemi Adekomi (PRO) Adenuga Roseanna Okachi (Financial Secretary) Julius Omijie (Treasurer).
In her acceptance speech, the newly elected chairman Moji Oyetayo promised to initiate programmes that will help move AGN Lagos to greater heights in line with her vision and objectives for the Guild and members.
The peaceful election was under the auspices of Chief Remmy Ohanjianya (AGNEC Chairman) Tary West(AGNEC Secretary) among others.
