United Kingdom’s longest serving monarch, Queen Elizabeth II is dead.
The queen who died peacefully on Thursday, 8, September, 2022 at Balmoral, her Scottish estate surrounded by her children including the heir apparent, Prince Charles, was aged 96.
The official notice read: “The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.”

The Queen who ascended the throne in 1952 was born Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor, in Mayfair, London, on 21 April 1926.
