IMSU Alumni: Bayelsa Chapter Breaks Long Silence, Set To Inaugurate 3 Patrons

The Imo State University Alumni Association, Bayelsa State Chapter has broken their long silence, as they are now set to inaugurate three of their members as Patrons of the chapter.

According to a release made available by the Chapter Publicity Secretary Mr. Sinikiem Ayoko it stated that the trio of Mr. Ebitei Tonyo, Dr. Ebiwari Wariowei and Mr. Kenneth Iruakazi will be officially made Patron of the Chapter.

Mr. Ebitei Tonyo who is one of the members to be made a patron is the Commissioner for Power and Energy in Bayelsa State, while Dr Ebiwari Wariowei is the Bayelsa State Focal Person on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS).

The State Chapter will also have an opportunity to have a seasoned banker as one of their patrons, as Mr. Kenneth Inukazi a branch manager with Zenith Bank Amarata Branch in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State will be the third person to be made a patron.

The event which is expected to hold on Sunday June 13th, 2021 at the NUJ Press Centre Azikoro road, in Ekeki Yenagoa will also afford the National President Barr. Okey Ozumba an opportunity to perform his first official assignment in the seafood state. The statement further confirms that the National President will also be the Chairman of the occasion.

Also expected to be on ground is newly elected Board Chairman Barr. Chinwe Mbakwem, and the Board Secretary Barr. Chief KingClovis Okereke.

As at press time, other members of the Alumni who will be jetting in from other parts of the country have not yet been confirmed, but there are strong indications that the Bayelsa State Chapter have the capacity to host stars from every part of the country when they come in numbers.

This is the first time Bayelsa Chapter will be hosting an event of this nature since the creation of the Chapter, and they will be looking forward to make the best out of it.
