With an uncanny passion to serve humanity in every of her endeavours, delectable actress, Mirabel Etuk has launched a registered non- profit organization; Bella Amor Aid Foundation.
The foundation is based in Abuja with an operational office in Lagos, it’s Focus is advocacy for child welfare initiative and fight against gender-based violence. It is targeted at providing succor apart from legal aid and redress for victims of child abuse and gender-based violence anywhere within the scope of its operation. These victims usually include: male and female children, infants; as well as grown-ups, physically or mentally challenged citizens, and generally helpless or otherwise handicapped citizens who may lack a voice. In its fight to achieve its mission, Bella Amor Aid Foundation have recruited a team of seasoned professionals, including lawyers, doctors, nurses, counsellors etc.
Part of the project goal according to Mirabel Etuk who also is the executive director of the foundation is to give quality education to the children taken off the street thereby erasing the financial burden on the parents of these children by empowering them financially.
Their project activities also include: feeding programme for the needy; scholarships for children; work shop training in Information technology, marketing, branding, social media; artisans, etc for youth and women; providing necessary support i.e moral, psychological, legal, financial etc. to victims of gender-based violence.
Completion of this project will further our overarching objectives, including: Improving the poverty index in the country, through our training and empowerment programmes.
Marching words with action, the foundation is set with one of their projects with Honourable, Komsol Alphonsus Longgap of the Federal House of Representatives representing Mikang/Quan. Pam/Shendam federal constituency, Plateau State.
The project put together by Bella Amor Aid Foundation and initiated and sponsored by the amiable Hon Komsol Longgap for the benefit of his constituent include free medical screening and treatment; talent hunt for the youth; football matches and Stars Connect. The project will also feature top Nollywood stars and planned December2020 in the three local Governments area listed above in Plateau State.
