The Lagos Chapter (Power House) of the Imo State University Alumni has showered salutations on the newly sworn-in National Executive Council of the Imo State University Alumni Association (IMSUAA) led by Barrister, Okey Ozumba.
This was made known in a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Lagos chapter (Power House) of the Alumni, Mrs. Amara Ifeanyichukwu-Njoku.
According to her, the event which took place on December 27 in De-Legend Hotel and Suites in Owerri, Imo State, saw Barr. Okey Ozumba and his executive members all take oath of office during the swearing-in-ceremony.
Commenting on the event, the Power House Chapter Chairman Nze Chibueze Anukanti, on behalf of the entire Lagos Chapter Exco, described the event as a long awaited moment which the Alumni had looked up to, to enable the association heal wounds.
“We are convinced that today is going to mark the beginning of this administration and the President who is determined to put the association on the right path has gotten the sealed mandate to do that.
When he came to Lagos for Power House End of year party, he gave us his word that reconciliation shall be given priority and we are sure that with the swearing-in today, the door has been opened for it,” Anukanti stated.
Anukanti also congratulated Power House Chapter Financial Secretary Mr. Anslem Achunine who was sworn in alongside others and now doubles as the National Financial Secretary.
He described Achunine as an asset from the Power House who will play significant role in helping the Barr. Okey Ozumba-led administration actualize her set objectives.
Anukanti congratulated other executive members who were sworn in and re-assured all of the Power House Chapter’s support as the chapter looks forward to restoring the lost glory of the Alumni.
