In his determination to rebuild and instill peace in the Imo entertainment industry, the governor’s Special Assistant on Entertainment, Charles Awurum has called on every stakeholder to sheath their sword and embrace peace.
He made this call when he hosted the members of the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria – AGN, Imo chapter to a peace and familiarization meeting.
Ihedioha’s aide explained that the only way progress can take effect is through collective effort and peace. He therefore urged them to support the ongoing developmental plan by the State government to revamp the Imo entertainment industry.
Urging him to carry everyone along irrespective of past misunderstanding, the Chairman of Imo Actors’ Guild of Nigeria, Nneoma Ukpabi stressed that his appointment puts him in the position of a father, which maturity, unity and love shouldn’t be less expected.
She said: “We have heard a lot, and due to that, there was association restriction. But now that everything has been ratified, we are here to give you our maximum support. Put whatever that happened in the past behind. Let’s work together and move the State forward,” she urged.
Expressing satisfaction that Awurum will deliver in his appointment, the personal assistant to the governor on Entertainment, Val Agwulonu gave his loyalty when he said his senior colleague would work to put his marks in the sands of time.
In his closing remark, Mr. Awurum thanked them for their show of love and solidarity, as he promised that there would be absolute harmonization amongst all stakeholders of the Imo entertainment industry, adding that it would be a reign for all where division will not be tolerated.
Soliciting for their support, Awurum called on them to collectively identify with the Ihedioha’s rebuild Imo government, so to move the State forward.
Interestingly, the office of the Special Assistant on Entertainment in collaboration with Ibari Ogwa World has slated October 1st, 2019 as Bongo Night with the Governor. Expectedly, every Imo born entertainer would be present.
